The data was compiled from the biographies of each participating artist, identifying past group shows and mapping all other artists and curators involved. Nodes represent artists and curators; connections represent shared participation in a group exhibition.

The resulting network includes over 5,000 individuals linked through 700+ exhibitions spanning 1981 to 2010, offering insight into the exhibition histories, recurring collaborations, and institutional trajectories that shape contemporary art networks.
